It all starts with you!

Hey guys! You know what, I don’t even know where to start. I think maybe an apology is needed to my regular readers as in my last blog I did say I would try and blog every fortnight but it’s been over two months since my last post! Lets just say, blogging had to take a back seat as my focus was on my assignments. THANKFULLY, I  have submitted all my assignments and my first year at University is complete. Also, I know I said I would come back with a completely new layout/website but please bare with me guys, it’s currently under construction… It’s a lot more complex than I thought.

I’ll be honest with you I was slightly anxious about returning to blogging as I have been away from you all for so long and I wanted to come back with an interesting blog for you all to read. I had planned for my first blog post after my two month hiatus to be about my University experience but I just don’t feel like talking about Uni, as of yet. I will… Very soon!

Now I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way but sometimes I hate giving myself credit or showing that I’m kind of confident in a certain thing as I feel as though people may perceive this confidence as arrogance? Well I’m a bit of an over thinker so maybe I am just slightly overthinking this..

Recently, something I prayed so hard for finally came true. I was able to get a two week placement at my dream tv production company in London. I never would’ve thought I would have been able to do it. I tend to doubt myself a lot and prove myself wrong pretty much every time. If you’re like me in this sense then I’m here to tell you to STOP DOUBTING YOURSELF. Self doubt can honestly stop you from being the best version of you that you can be. You are your biggest enemy of progress. The only person standing in the way of you applying for that job, booking that flight, taking those driving lessons is yourself.

It all starts with you believing you can do it and proving those who doubt you wrong. There are people wishing on your downfall, don’t let them win. I know it’s easier said than done but honestly after the couple of weeks I’ve had I don’t think I should ever doubt my capabilities again. You don’t want to look back 5, 10, 15 years from now and think “if only” or “what if”.

Some words of encouragement from me to you: Go for it, you can do it. Life is too short! Take the risk as it might just pay off but you will never know until you take that leap of faith!

I don’t class myself as a writer despite the fact I'm here on WordPress. I'm just here to blog my thoughts and experiences on everything and anything. Who knew blogging could be so therapeutic? Thank you for taking the time to read my blogs. Feel free to like, comment and share them with family and friends! - Fi
