Hey guys! Wow and before we knew it, the year was over. Farewell 2019, Welcome 2020. To think we’re entering a new decade is crazy to me, but, crazy in a good way. I’ve had a good think about how I feel the previous decade was for me and although for most of it I was quite ‘young’, I’d say the past 4/5 years have really shaped me to be the person I am today. A person I’m gradually learning and growing to love, a person I would say I’m proud of and a person whom looking back ten years from now, will have absolutely no regrets. It’s pretty standard to do a blog talking about all the major/key highlights of this year but I feel like I’ve spoken enough about my year in my previous posts. I wanted this blog to be about preparing yourself for the new year.
This year I feel has been life changing for me in some ways and I’m now prepared to take on 2020. Possibly more prepared than I’ve ever been before. I have several things on my list/goals to complete this year that I am determined to tick off. If you know me then you know that, at times, I can lack a lot of self belief, but, this year I’ve got to prove to myself just how amazing I am. Can’t believe I’ve even said that, Farai calling herself amazing? Well they say if you don’t love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? I’m also trying to spread as much love and positivity as I can to those around me. I just want everyone around me to succeed, to be happy and to win (and they will). Not only should you speak things into existence, but, it’s equally important to put in the work for those things you desire and those successes you crave. You cannot start anything with a negative mindset and expect a positive outcome; your mind and words are extremely powerful so be as careful as possible with what you think and say. If you hit a few bumps on the road early on, do not (I repeat do not) let this affect the coming months.. Those few bumps are only preparing you for an abundance of blessings you’re about to receive.
Look forward to the opportunities that will come your way, the new adventures life will take you on and the growing process. Be excited for it all.
I spent New Year’s Eve and Day in Victoria Falls this year, which I would’ve never imagined less than a month ago. Whether you spent it at church, home or out and about, I hope you entered the new year feeling great. I’m honestly wishing you all the best beginning, middle and end to 2020.
The biggest thank you for those who have been on this blogging journey with me and continue to read/support my blogs. I’m excited to continue blogging for you guys! A Happy New Year to you all.
