January review: 2 year anniversary & new job!

For the last two/three years I’ve always loved the month of January; it’s always symbolised a fresh new start for me and the month has treated me well. Something memorable has always occurred, so I don’t know why I thought this year would be any different? In all honesty Covid played a part in me thinking otherwise, but I should know to always trust in God, because “with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

Two years ago yesterday I ticked off a massive thing on my bucket list — I passed my driving test. Time really does fly when you’re having fun but it wasn’t the easiest journey… 4 failed tests, 4 driving instructors, and only weeks before my theory test expired, I finally did it! To this day, it’s still one of my proudest moments because I know how much of a nervous wreck I was every single time I stepped foot into the test centre. Legs shaking. Heart pumping out of my chest — 101 things running through my head. There’s not a single word to describe how I felt that day.

Now I’m not someone who likes to tell the world my business, especially when it’s something good, because I always feel the need to protect that good thing. My blogging journey hasn’t been the most consistent but I have opened up a little bit and made blogging part of my life. Therefore, I feel it’s only right for me to share the good news with you as well. I haven’t even shared the news with some of my closest friends so reading this may come as a shock to them. I won’t go into too much detail but recently, as I’m coming up to the end of student life, my career has weighed heavy on my mind, from ‘What am I going to do after University?’ to ‘How will I secure a job during a pandemic with little experience?’ However, one of the biggest blessings came about this month. I secured a job with a company I have dreamed about working for since I was a young girl. Typing this doesn’t even feel real, but it’s happened! This is something I’ve prayed about endlessly, manifested and most importantly, put the work in. I want to encourage anyone who’s feeling demotivated or anxious about their future, to just believe that EVERYTHING will work out when the time is right. Don’t stop putting in the work, manifesting, praying (if you’re spiritual) and believe, because what’s meant for you will always be for you, one way or another!
